Citroën C3 III Facelift (2019-2023)
Exterior Design
From the outside, the facelift focused primarily on sharpening the car's visual identity. The front end adopted a bolder look inspired by Citroën's recent concept cars, with the brand's chevron signature stretching seamlessly into slim LED daytime running lights. This design trick visually widened the car and gave it a more assertive stance. Full LED headlights became standard, raising the perceived quality, while customizable color inserts around the fog lamp housings allowed owners to tailor the look to their taste. Two new body colors further expanded the already extensive personalization palette. The side profile remained compact and practical, ideal for urban environments where tight streets and limited parking are everyday challenges. Short overhangs made maneuvering effortless, while the contrasting roof design and blacked-out pillars created a floating roof effect. Functional Airbump panels along the doors continued to protect the bodywork from minor impacts, combining durability with a distinctive visual signature. Wheel options ranged from steel rims to larger alloy designs, depending on trim level.
Changes at the rear were more subtle, focusing on refinement rather than reinvention. The familiar three-dimensional taillight graphics were retained, complemented by discreet updates such as a revised roof spoiler and glossy black exterior details. At the same time, the range structure was simplified, making it easier for customers to choose between clearly defined equipment levels.
Interior
Inside, the refreshed C3 emphasized calmness and comfort. The cabin adopted a light, Scandinavian-inspired atmosphere, highlighted by new interior themes such as Techwood, which introduced wood-effect accents and softer materials across the dashboard. Horizontal design lines enhanced the sense of space, while coordinated upholstery colors tied the interior together visually.Comfort took a major step forward with the introduction of Citroën Advanced Comfort seats. Designed to feel plush and supportive, they featured a multi-layer foam construction and a wider shape, creating a relaxed, lounge-like seating experience. The driver also benefited from an added armrest, improving comfort on longer journeys. Technology was centered around a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with full smartphone integration, while the available ConnectedCAM dashcam added an extra layer of safety and convenience by recording traffic events and storing footage securely in the cloud.
Mechanics
Under the bonnet, the updated C3 received a new lineup of engines compliant with Euro 6 standards. Buyers could choose between efficient turbocharged petrol units or economical diesel options, all delivering a balance of low fuel consumption and sufficient performance for everyday use. Depending on the chosen engine, power was sent to the wheels through either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The refreshed Citroën C3 successfully combined expressive design, advanced comfort features, and extensive customization options. The later introduction of the C3 You version further broadened the range, ensuring that the model remained accessible while continuing to appeal to drivers seeking individuality in a small, modern city car.
Warning
Never use a higher amperage fuse!
